Cora’s 471 Grill in Castroville: “Best Nachos in Texas”

NACHO TIME! I do not know what Cora’s 471 Grill does, but I think it is the cheese. Nachos are not my typical order if I am going to eat out but these are not typical nachos. They are what many people love about Cora’s 471 Grill so if you have never been they are a must try.

What We Have Tried at Cora’s 471 Grill

OK! So you know you need to order the nachos. If you are craving some of their other menu items just adjust the amount of nachos but do not remove them from you order all together. The X-Large order is sent out on the tray and can feed 3 people as a meal easily. Looks are deceiving because they will fill you up! The other order of nachos pictured above is a Large order and it fits on a large dinner plate.

My friend and I decided on one occasion we wanted to try the enchiladas so we did not get the X-Large but the Large order of nachos and split the 2 enchiladas. They were good but with both being cheese heavy we may choose a different pairing… besides the beer, of course.

My daughter and I on another occasion tried the catfish with our nachos and it was good too. I would probably stick with just nachos instead but we need to change it up once in a while.

When I was doing Keto Diet (I just gained 5lbs by saying diet) I ordered the Pepper Steak. It looks like a small portion in the picture about but it was really thick and stuffed with peppers and cheese. So good…

The Entrees come with a trip to the salad bar to build your own salad. The variety was nice but the staff did build the salad for you due to Covid. Not a big deal and they were delicious… mine was better. LOL

As you can see below, the interior seating is a little more limited than then exterior seating. On a really hot day I understand eating inside and I never had to really wait on a table since I do not go during prime hours.

When you approach the entrance you will see the playground right away and kids seem to always be having lots of fun. Next to it is outside seating with umbrellas. This area is perfect for parents that want to supervise their kiddos and still see the band playing on Thursday Nights.
